It’s hard to miss no matter where you’re coming from, right on the corner with Queen’s Park and Langside Hall you pass it coming out of the park, walking down the high street, or just driving past on the bus.

The modern architecture of its building meets a modern, forward thinking business model focused not only on the late-night reveler, but on the work from home coffee drinker and the boozy brunchers.

The inside is EXPANSIVE. It possesses a large rounded bar in the centre perfect for serving the large crowds often enticed in for sports shown on its multiple large screens or the end of week post-office rush.

Its taps are filled with the usual staples: Guinness, Tennents and Staropramen to name a few, as well as a host of some of Scotland’s finest craft beers like Glasgow’s own WEST Brewery’s St Mungo and Edinburgh based Pilot’s Leith Lager.

Beer not really your thing? That’s fine, their specialists in cocktails too! They’ve got the taste of summer with classic spritzes (including the old classic Aperol, and the newbie on the block, Hugo), as well as their own signatures like the Dirty Chai Martini and Spiced Apple Margarita.

I mentioned earlier that they are catering to the work from home crowd, and the presence of a dirty chai cocktail suggests that there are also… normal…. dirty chai’s – because why go to Costa when you can go to the pub.

The Corona is open from 11am every day of the week with coffee loyalty cards, free WiFi and lunch/brunch deals on offer throughout the week. It also hosts a number of other events, like chess nights, pub quizzes and live music nights.

Its location now across the road from Paesano also makes it an ideal post dinner or post-date location, scoff down a pizza and go off for a cocktail – sounds like an evening in heaven!
